Bad credit debt consolidation loan?
Here is what's going on with me. I have about 30,000 dollars worth of student loans, however I have them through more than one place...I have one through Astrive, a couple of Direct Loans, and one through Wachovia. I also have a car that my mom took out in her name and is going to want off of her credit that's around 13,000. So, it comes to around 50,000 total of debt. I would like a debt consolidation loan, not only to get the car off of my mom's credit, but to make things easier for me, because making the minimum payment to everything is going to cost me more per month than just paying one place. Plus, a loan will build my credit. The thing is, I have bad credit because I was swamped with medical bills a couple of years ago. Does anyone know of any companies that will give out either personal or consolidation loans of the amount that I need and will work with people of bad credit?
If we go thru a credit debt consolidation(CARE ONE) would it lower our chances of getting a home?

I unwittingly entered a debt consolidation program with cesi and wish to stop. I have medical reasons from Iraq and I sometimes am overly impulsive. Has anyone ever stopped participation in one of these programs?

I always hear commercials on tv radio about debt consolidation and such, and they always sound so shady and scammy. I have about $10 in a decades worth of bills, including a credit card, utilities, etc i was bad with my money when i finished high school and i wanna know if these " not for profit" companies that are offering these services are worth it? I dont understand either why they're not for profit, that makes it sounds even shadier. Are these owned and controlled by credit companies to get their money back or what?Any one have experience with this?

Credit/Debt Consolidation. What do I do?
OK, long story short. My friend had good credit. He started putting business expenses on his personal cards ON TOP of his personal expenses with the expectation of the business paying ALL of his cards each month.There isn t enough money to do that.They won t stop calling him so he wants me to look in to debt consolidation.I have no idea what to look for in this area.Have you experienced this sort of thing? Have you used a Debt Consolidation Organization?Are there really Not for Profit organizations that can help So I can be sure that they are not just working for the companies to f ck the consumer over?PLEASE give me info and experiences on how to best go about consolidating credit cards.I know that this is not technically " My Problem" but I need to keep this tard happy. He is, to be honest, not intelligent enough and does not have the ability to just get down and do the nitty gritty, even when it is in his own best interests.I am looking in to this for him because if I don't, he will just not shut up about it and that will ruin MY day...So please... No more " It isn't your problem" replies... I know it isn't... But it is better on ME in the long run if I just shut him the hell up
