Question: After you do debt consolidation, how long does it take to get good credit back?

Lots of people are consolidating there debt and doing loan settlements. These have a negative affect on your credit. How long after it is all paid off and you are back to making on time payments; does it take to get good credit again?

A loooooong time. Don't expect to be able to get credit for at least 5 years, and often longer. Many organisations are now refusing to give loans/ credit cards to people who have gone down that route.
