Question: Debt consolidation - medical bills?

Help! I am drowning in medical bills! I have been trying my best to work with the local hospital regarding the 6 "different accounts " they show in their system for me- which are all related to the pregnancy & delivery of my son this February . They have refused to combine the accounts and allow me to make one monthly payment on my balance, instead only credit my payment to my newest account opened & have turned all the others in as bad debt! I owe a total of around $4000 to the hospital, but they have already turned in $1100 to the county DA requesting a wage garnishment because they say I have "refused " to pay them! I am considering trying to get a debt consolidation loan to pay off these bills, just so I won't have to deal with the embarrassment & harrassment from the hospitals creditors; but, because they've turned these accounts in as bad debt, my credit score has dropped below 600! Is there anywhere I can turn for help??

Honestly, no, not with a credit score that low. But it all seems suspicious to me.

YES you can call up those debt consolidation services or ask for free legal from your local city offices that hospital is abusing you so they can collect more money they are breking the laws about you and your constitutional rights by using loopholes to granish your wages YOU havent refused to pay them you just trying to make it more reasonable to pay them back medical bils are unsecured debt they are not loans DO Not call your COUNTY DA he will not help YOU get legal free help from county !
